Myanmar is kind of tomboyish and often comes off as tactless, seemingly indifferent to what is being said of her in the UN. But what others don’t know is that she actually puts on the tough girl appearance as a front, and at waits in silent desperation for Aung San Suu Kyi or some other noble spirit to go against the junta and finally bring democracy to her home.

“While very proud of Mary and the education she received in France, he was never so saddened as when French became her primary language. Even in Scotland.”
Mary (Queen of Scots) was sent to France for safety, betrothed to the young Dauphin Francis. She was only 4 or 5 at the time, and as she spent much of her life there, French became the language she used most. (Though she retained her native Scots, she had also learned several other languages, such as Italian, and Latin just to name a few.) She was a very well-educated girl, and always very eager to learn. When she returned to Scotland, she continued to use French in her personal life, rather than return to using the Scots she had first learned. (Unless, of course, with those who spoke only Scots.) — binninin
